12.5 × 10.5 × 16.5 inches. Up to 25 lb. This is a backpack, and we are going to be exact about what that means before anything else.
Standing up it is 16.5 inches tall against under-seat heights of 8.5 to 11, so standing up it goes under nothing. Lying on its back — the only way a backpack ever goes under a seat — the numbers become 16.5 × 12.5 on the floor and 10.5 tall. On those figures it gets under the seat on exactly one of the nine airlines in our guide: Frontier, which publishes 18 × 14 × 11. No squashing and no argument on that one. On the other eight it does not fit under a seat, so it is not a way to fly with your pet on those airlines.
One airline is one airline. If you are flying anyone else, buy an under-seat carrier instead — they are all here, each with its three measurements published.
What it is actually for
- Both hands free. Padded shoulder straps, worn like a rucksack. Through security, through the terminal, round a car park, up a trail.
- Large top and side openings for airflow and for checking on your pet without taking the bag off.
- Up to 25 lb — the highest weight limit of anything we sell.
- Soft-sided and collapsible, so it folds flat when it is not in use.
- Two colors, grey and navy blue — pick above. Same bag, same measurements, same price.
Sizing: measure your pet lying down, nose to the base of the tail, and add 2 inches. Then measure standing, floor to the top of the head. Your pet has to be able to stand up and turn around inside.
No carrier is “airline approved”. Airlines publish a maximum size; the gate agent decides whether the bag fits. Compare all nine before you book.

Two measurements decide everything.
Length. With your pet lying down, measure from the nose to the base of the tail — not the tip. Add 2 inches. That is the interior length you need.
Height. With your pet standing, measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Your pet must be able to stand up and turn around inside the carrier. That is the rule every airline writes, and the one gate agents actually check. If your pet falls between two interior sizes, take the bigger one — but check its exterior against your airline first. A bag your pet fits in but the airline will not take is no use to either of you.

We ship within the United States only, from warehouses in California and Nevada. Orders placed before 1pm ET on a business day are handed to the carrier the same day; after that, the next business day.
Delivery is typically 1–5 business days depending on how far you are from the warehouse. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum — you never pay for delivery. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are included at the same price; allow a few extra days for those three.
You get a tracking number by email as soon as the label is created.

Thirty days from delivery, in the original packaging and unused. Email us and we will send you a return authorisation and the address for that warehouse before you post anything — a parcel sent back without one cannot be credited.
Wrong size is the most common reason people write to us, and it is the easiest to solve: tell us your pet's measurements and your airline and we will tell you which size to swap to.

Needed to take my pup everywhere while she was unvaccinated but didn’t want her exposed so this came in handy. She took tons of naps in it and it’s better than the typical bag as this evens the weight on your shoulder. I love that you can turn it for it be a bigger bed. Also has so many zippers that can stick their head if. Looks like a typical backpack so was able to get her in many places without people noticing her. The Colors are so aesthetic and love that has potty bag attachment! So many compartments that fit many items like a water bowl.
This backpack is well designed and well made.We want to take our poodle mix for a bike ride. When he stands, He is 14” long from neck to his bottom. When he sits, his front leg to the back of his hind legs is 11”, and his neck to his front paw is 14”. His weight is 14.5 lbs.So he’s too big for a sling or basket, but probably OK in a XL dog carrier or backpack.First I tried to carry him at the front. I used the carrier that he can stretch his legs out through the holes and face the front. Maybe my dog is too heavy or his body is too long, he needs to round his spine in the carrier and that doesn’t look comfortable at all.Then, we tried 2 different backpacks. He can fits in the first one, but when I stood up, I felt that his weight was not even and the backpack didnt seem sturdy enough to hold him. The 2nd backpack doesn’t fit his shape at all, even though it has similar measurements as the first one.Then I tried this one. It’s round and roomy inside. I can put my dog in easily. When he sits inside, his head is about the height of the top rim. I can choose to zip or unzip the top screen. When I tried to stand up and walk, I didn’t feel the weight at all. It provides good support to both me and my dog, so he doesn’t move around and it’s much easier for me to carry him.We tested it yesterday on the bike. We unzipped the top screen so my dog was able to put his front paws on the top rim and stick his head out to look around. It was very cute and secured.As a dog owner who wants to bring their little fluffy friend everywhere, I’ve spent lots of time doing research and trying different products, and this backpack is something you won’t regret you buy it for your fluffy baby.
We have two 7lb bunnies that travel with us often and they fit pretty well in there. We can't put both of them in one, but they are both fairly comfortable in their own. The bottom is well supported and it is comfortable to wear on your back for a long time. We used to have Top Paw brand backpacks very similar to these and these have very similar quality. The only 2 problems I have with these is that if one of them has an accident in there and there's no towel/blanket at the bottom, it will leak through the zipper. Also, one out bunnies chewed through the first one pretty easily.
My 6 month old, 7lbs, miniature pinscher puppy loves this Backpack! he sees it this carrier backpack as his safe place. When we take him somewhere and he he feels a little scared, he jumps inside his backpack. It's really funny to watch him do it, he jumps just like a bunny. And every time he sees it open, he climbs inside by himself because he wants to go for a walk. And the backpack is super strong, compact, and very well made. It has a hanger on the top side , a zippered pocket in the front, and two on the sides (without zippers) to store other things. The inside bottom is strong and is covered with fluffy fabric. I'm 5.1 and the backpack is easy to carry and doesn't look to big. It is also well ventilated, since it has mesh on the top center as well as on the top sides. The center mesh can be open and folded, and one of the side meshes has a zipper that can be partially opened (maybe to give pet a treat). Then the both sides open completely with zippers. So you can put your pet inside by using one of the side "doors" or the middle window (with the mesh). Overall, this was a very good purchase!
We were RV traveling, and sometimes my kitty decided a particular campground was too scary to go for a walk. So, I ordered this backpack for those occasions (and it arrived extremely fast - thank you!). It is very well made; however, it is incredibly uncomfortable. The bottom is so rigid, it digs into my lumbar region. I had a neoprene shoulder wrap for ice packs with me, so I inserted a hand towel and wrapped it around my hips before clipping on the hip belt. That made a huge difference in comfort.If you have a smaller, light-weight pet, this backpack probably will work extremely well for you. My kitty is very long and 13.5 pounds (not overweight - just a large kitty). He was only able to sit-stand in this backpack (I believe this size is the largest available for these types of backups). So, our walks were only about 15 minutes long. By then, I was ready to get the weight off me - even with the hip belt and shoulder straps, him shifting around was quite evident and a bit bothersome for my balance. If I took him out on my own, he would start to talk to me after about 5-10 minutes (normally, he is a very quiet kitty). If my husband was along walking behind me or just to the side where kitty could see him, kitty stayed calmer for much longer.He hates getting into it, but he does enjoy the outing, and when I unzip the top to lift him out, he has calmed down immensely. This is a cat who is terrified of other people and cars, and he felt safe and partially hidden while in the backpack, even with a lot of activity around him.Pros:Very well made and sturdy.Screening seems to be sturdy - kitty is very good a pushing and stretching out these types of screens, and it all remained intact.I debated getting a unit with a bubble, but this one intrigued me with all of the screening where kitty could be in any position and see out. The fact that the screening is so high, as well as on the sides, was a huge plus for making my kitty feel less claustrophobic.Many of these pet backpacks do not have a hip belt. While the hip belt included could be better padded, the fact that it exists is a plus.The shoulder straps are very well paddedCons:Bottom is very rigid and uncomfortable. You will need extra padding around your lumbar region. Still, the rigidity seems to prevent the pet's weight from sinking through the bottomThe top flap is also a bit rigid, and if you wish to leave it open for your pet to be able to pop up, the flap will be in the way. I will never have my cat popping up part of the way, so this was not an issue. And, the rigidity prevented him from pushing his head through to escape, so that is a plus. Still, keep that in mind if your intent is to have your pet’s cute little paws straddling the top with its head out.The bottom line is, we were very happy to have this backpack while traveling; it is extremely well-made, and the price was very good for this type of unit. If the manufacturer of this backpack is able to provide better padding for the hip belt so that the bottom does not dig into the lumbar region, it would be worth the extra price to purchase. I imagine any of these types of backpacks would have the same issue of a pet shifting around and pulling the wearer a bit off balance.
