Dog Booster Car Seat — Up to 24 lb, Two-Strap Fit, Built-In Tether

Cute for new puppy. Not if they grow fast.

Works for me and The Bandit. Reading some of the reviews I was uncertain about it but decided to try anyway and glad I did! Seeing some of the problems that others mentioned, I was willing to give it a try because the price was so much less than some I’d seen. To fix the drooping front I cut stiff cardboard and inserted between grey booster seat and the lining. No more drooping front😃 I inserted a 2 inch piece of foam between the liner and the board insert. Now the Bandit sits higher and can look out the window. I also placed a throw pillow under the booster seat to take some of the tension off of the straps, and it still sits secure. I noticed that some people had a problem with the strap that attached to the dog’s collar so I put has no pull harness on him to remove the danger of him chocking himself, and it gives him a little more leeway to move. The Bandit is an 11 lb 10 year old Schtizpoo that DOES NOT like to ride in the car. He’s the first one in once the door opens, but he starts whimpering as soon as the car starts to move. For some reason, he is much calmer in this seat. The first time I had to put him in it. Now he gets in by himself. We’ve taken several rides with him in the seat. Not to say that his riding anxiety is completely gone, but it’s 75% better. Maybe a little 5 lb dog wouldn’t need the extra measures that I’ve taken, but it works for me. And yes I would recommend this booster seat.

*Updated*I had already given this product a five star review but came back to update because I was recently in a car accident that left my car totaled. My 6lb yorkie was in this horrific accident with me but luckily, had been secured, with her harness, into this car seat. The car spun multiple times, air bags deployed, etc but my dog is safe and alive all thanks to this product! It saved my dog’s life! And despite the accident, the car seat remains in perfect condition! Don’t hesitate. For the safety of your furry family member, buy it!This seat gives me peace of mind when traveling with my dog. She’s safely secured with the clasp so she can’t run around and is safe in case of an air bag. Plus, it keeps my car clean without wet nose marks and scratches. My dog is a 6 pound yorkie and the seat holds her comfortably. Two of her could fit lol. I did put a light throw blanket on the bottom to give my dog a slight ‘lift’ so she can look out the window. Extremely sturdy and easy installation. Highly recommend.

We purchased the smaller version for our 6.5 - 7 lb 8+yr old recently rescued Yorkie. As soon as we unboxed, she immediately jumped on it and from her look, claimed it. After installing, tested out to make sure adjustments were secure, inside harness attachment was right etc for her and when I took her out and closed the door, she just sat in front of the car door looking at it then back at me as if to say 'wait, aren't we going someplace?'. The next two pics are from the first outing. She ultimately fell asleep and curled up in the bottom with plenty of room. In the first pic with it collapsed, it doesn't look like there would be a lot of room, but once the sides are pulled up and it's fully extended, it's much more roomy than it looks in the first pic.It's well made and similar to other reviews, like that the lining easily detaches for cleaning. Some have indicated it bounced around which would happen if the belt that goes around the seat is not tightly fitted. When we attached the belt was quite loose even after shortening as much as we could. We easily remedied by twisting the long side of the belt behind the seat to get to the necessary snugness. It did not bounce or move at all on the ride, even when she stood up on the rail to look out (although seeing that pic, we'll snug up the inside harness so she can't reach the car door.It's not really super cushy on the bottom but is certainly is fine as it comes. However, like one other reviewers suggestion, we're going to get a piece of foam to insert on top of the insert for the bottom - it will be easy enough to do (or even a folded old towel will probably do it). When she's curled up in it, you can't see her at all from the front seat, but she typically falls asleep first with her head against the side before sliding down (she did this in the old one we have) and going to sleep as in the last pic. Once we add a bit of padding to the bottom it will still deep enough that when she curls up, we won't be able to see her when we look back.I would recommend.

This booster seat is awesome! Ive got a 20lb mini aussie and have a dog gate in the back of the jeep to keep her from scratching up my new car. I felt bad keeping her in the back and blocked off from the family and the ac. Now my pooch is happy she gets to look out of the window and be in back seat with my daugher. Leash keeps her in well and despite her bein long dog she can still lay down (see pics) comfortably. I was sceptical at first but its pretty sturdy.. although my dog is well behaved and doesnt try to get out. And it keeps her off the seat which i was worried about. I could see that it may be difficult if ur dog wont sit in it for owners w unruly dogs. But 100% happy i bought it! My jeep is safe & dog is happy.
